It was a 'Kick' moment for Jalandhar based Varinder Singh Ghuman when Salman Khan launched the trailer of his upcoming film Roar - Tigers of Sunderbans, which captures the tumultuous relationship between a man and a beast. After reading the script, Salman was so overwhelmed that he immediately agreed to launch its trailer.
Salman was so impressed with Ghuman's physique that the actor announced he would cast Ghuman in his upcoming film Gama Pehalwan. World's first vegetarian body builder, Ghuman, is better known as Manof-muscles. Roar is produced by Abis Rizvi and directed by Kamal Sadanah.
"During the shooting of the film, my crew and I lived on a ship in inhabitable Sunderbans in Bangladesh for a few weeks. It was not less than a nightmare in jungles where you often get greeted with snakes, wild boars, poisonous insects, salt-water crocodiles and many other dangerous creatures," the 130-kg and six-feet-two-inches-tall award-winning body builder said.
Apart from this, Ghuman, who did not know how to swim, has shot an underwater sequence for the film, which is set to be released on September 19.
