Salman Khan Box-Office Collection Hits 231.50 crore

Salman Khan-starrer has extended its domestic collection to nearly Rs. 231.50 crore, Bollywood website Koimoi.com said in a report.

Kick collected Rs. 30 lakh on its fourth Tuesday and the action thriller is still running in 300-plus screens, the report said.

Kick is estimated to do a lifetime business of Rs.235 crore at the domestic box office. With Kick, director Sajid Nadiadwala has also moved into record books. He has become the first director whose debut movie has grossed over Rs. 200 crore.

Kick is Salman Khan’s first entrant into the Rs. 200 crore club and his seventh overall in the Rs. 100 crore club, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter. Salman Khan’s other Rs. 100 crore grossers were Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho, added Mr Adarsh.

In terms of gross earnings, says Koimoi.com, Kick has collected overRs. 375 crore worldwide. Kick is now Bollywood’s fourth-highest worldwide grosser at box-office, says Koimoi.com, behind 3 Idiots (Rs.395 crore), Chennai Express (Rs. 422 crore) and Dhoom 3 (Rs. 542 crore).

Kick, released ahead of Eid, hit the Rs.100 crore mark on the fifth day after its release. Salman Khan’s earlier Eid releases like Wanted and Ek Tha Tiger turned out to be super hits. Also, starring Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Jacqueline Fernandez, Kick hit over 5,000 screens in India on July 25 as well as 42 other countries.
